i feel so blessed to be asked by a group of women entrepreneurs to come and speak to them in september about being genetically unemployable … the topic is still really new as this blog and the concepts of this term come together. i met with 2 different people just this weekend that are struggling with what their life means if they continually lose interest in their jobs and feel completely stunted. the hardest part is most people i listen to in this space talk about figuring out what is wrong with them.
first of all, there is nothing wrong with all of us that just do not find the satisfaction we need from a J-O-B! The world needs entrepreneurs, people that create new ideas or implement the ideas of others to build companies that employ the group of individuals that DO gain satisfaction from new empoyment opportunities. we need each other!
tt’s hard to follow your dreams, but it IS possible as i am living proof. together we can support the process and give more entrepreneurs a fighting chance!
I used to think there was something wrong with me because within six months of getting a job, I would be bored out of my mind and ready for something else. At a point in my personal growth, I recognized that this could be a strength. I created a business teaching others how to create newsletters and maintain them. I went on the publish two newspapers of my own, start a graphic design freelance agency, place other people in creative jobs, and now I teach people how to launch their businesses on the internet, the latest and easiest entrepreneurial business venue yet. When we stop judging ourselves for what we see as lacks, we may find some of our greatest strengths.
Thanks so much for your insight and experience, it is exactly what this blog is about. I’ve been struggling myself with how to expand genetically unemployable to touch more people and share stories and give support and direction to people still trying to find their path.
