I know I’m not alone in this whole concept of genetically unemployable; everywhere I turn I meet another fascinating person that has taken a unique experience or gift and turned it into a business. A business that not only pays some bills but creates a lifestyle.

I read a book this past week that brought a concept that really hit me, and that was living our life from a place of expectancy instead of expectation.  Hear me out here … think about it; when you set an expectation the situation is already concluded.  You will either meet the expectation or not, nothing in between really.  But when you go in to a situation with expectancy anything can happen, your mind is wide open to experience whatever comes your way.

Once again, I should probably remind you that my entire MO is freedom and living my life on my terms.  And those terms is to experience as much of life as I can, not to work myself to death.  So the concept of going in to every experience, every meeting, and every opportunity with expectancy opened up for me the idea of truly allowing great things to happen.  How cool is that?

Being in business for ourselves means we need to keep our eyes and ears open all the time for ideas that could open up new opportunity, what better way to do that than to live in expectancy?
